Spinal Tap

Unread post by Missano20 »

This isn't a "treatment" but something I find interesting looking back on. 7 years when I first found out I had PSSD I had gone through multiple blood tests and even MRIs to rule out absolutely everything (this was mostly because my parents were paranoid there was some physically wrong with me). I ended up having a lesion in my cerebellum and needed to undergo a spinal tap to help diagnose it. For about 5 days after the spinal tap I had a complete 100% reversal of all PSSD symptoms. I still to this day haven't had a window close to that.

Did they administer any medication which is standard as part of the spinal tap?

They used an anesthetic on the area, I didn't take any medication afterwards though.

Tramadol acts by binding to μ-opioid receptors on neurons. It is also a serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI).
