Re: NoFap + edging: a behavioral strategy

This worked in the short term but after about four weeks my libido went down to zero. I held out for another few weeks in case *that* was a random fluctuation, but no. I've started finishing again and returned to the PSSD baseline. Ah well, was worth a shot.

Re: Which foods make you crash?

Like DrugsAreBad, I want to say "none". I have a varied diet with lots of vegetables, legumes, leafy greens, garlic, and fish. I have no gut issues and there doesn't seem to be any correlation between my diet and my libido.

yesterday intro

I never properly introduced myself. Feel like I should do it some time or other. I'm a woman in my mid 30s. I took sertraline 50mg for two years, starting in May 2015 and ending in May 2017. I was prescribed it for my anxiety. I didn't have serious depression, but the anxiety was quite bad. When I w...

Re: Tryptophan Depletion

P.S. If you're curious how much tryptophan is in each food, look it up on https://nutritiondata.self.com/ . Scroll down to "Protein & Amino Acids" and click "see more" to see how much TRP is in it. Be careful to specify the right portion size.

Re: Tryptophan Depletion

I made that list of foods when I was trying acute tryptophan depletion. Collagen is pure protein ans has zero tryptophan. If you eat a large serving of collagen powder, it will flood your bloodstream with amino acids that will compete with tryptophan to cross the blood-brain barrier. It will also st...

NoFap + edging: a behavioral strategy

I'm wary of all pharmacological cures. Earlier this year I tried acute tryptophan depletion and experienced some alarming side effects, so I stopped, even though the scientific papers I was reading described the regimen as safe. I think neuropharmacology is kind of in its infancy; there are tons of ...

Re: Is it really PSSD? (female)

That's a tough question. I've been in bad relationships, and feeling angry or resentful toward my partner definitely dampened my sex drive. It went down overall, but it only went down to zero when I looked at him. So I guess I'd ask, do you have any sexual attraction to other men? Or do you respond ...

Re: New and Question

I read that there is only a small chance of getting Pssd, also since this forum has 1200 members and there are a lot more people that took them this is true? Is this the reason that conclusion is made or is there other evidence that showed that the chance is small and how small is the chance by est...
