Re: SSRi-induced Parkinsonism
Pssd could be caused by inhibition of dopamine, and or lack of dopamine. Many with PSSD suffer from anhedonia (Anhedonia and sexual anhedonia). If you lower dopamine you will get anhedonia and could also suffer derealization/depersonalization symptoms and other dysphoric feelings. From wikipedia (Se...

Re: SSRi-induced Parkinsonism
What if pssd is a SSRI-induced mild case of "parkinsons" that does not progress. Early signs of dysfunction in the dopamine system in the brain will show up as anhedonia, akathisia, sexual dysfunction, depression, and cognitive impairment (brain fog.) People with early parkinsons will ofte...

SSRI blocks Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, could lead to sexual dysfunction
SSRI blocks(antagonist) Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. It seems that blocking of mACh-receptors could lead to sexual dysfunction. Values are Ki (nM). The smaller the value, the more strongly the drug binds to the Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor. (M1-M5)= Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor 1-5 ...

Dopamine inhibiton by serotonin in the basal ganglia
PSSD and akathisia are both side effects/damage caused by SSRI's . I think PSSD and akathisia could be related, it seems that both could be caused by inhibition of dopamine, and or lack of dopamine. Many with PSSD suffer from anhedonia (Anhedonia and sexual anhedonia). If you lower dopamine you will...

Re: Proviron (mesterolone)
I tried Proviron before getting pssd and back then just one 25 mg tablet made me so horny that my penis start hurting out of too much horniness. But now with pssd it is like eating candies. I can take 5-6 tablets at a time and it has no effect on me what so ever. That's an interesting but not a sur...

Re: Can neuroregenerative peptides (BPC-157 and TB-500) heal pssd?
Does anyone tried 9-Met-b-Carboline?? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/9-Methyl-β-carboline Let read the entusiastic studies. 9-Met-b-Carboline looks promising. Ejaculatory anhedonia is most likely caused by a dysfunction in the dopamine system. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_anhedonia There...

SSRI's impact on the immune system, cause of PSSD?
Earlier I saw a comment that mentioned that maybe the antidepressant's effect on the immune system could be the cause for PSSD. I remember that it was mentioned that it have been discussed in the post finasteride syndrome forums, and that it was mentioned that tnf-alpha maybe had a role in causing t...

Re: Antipsychotics, 5α-reductase inhibitors, SSRI’s, SNRI’s and TCA’s do all mess with neurosteroids
As mentioned in the post above, SSRI's and also other antidepressants modulate brain steroids that has important roles in sexual function. Various antidepressants, including the SSRIs fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, sertraline, and paroxetine, the SNRI venlafaxine, and mirtazapine, have been found to activ...

Can neuroregenerative peptides (BPC-157 and TB-500) heal pssd?
BPC-157 (Body protective compound 157) and TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) TB-500 and BPC-157 is said to build new blood vessels, regenerate muscle tissue fibers, increase new cell growth and much much more. Have someone tried it for pssd? These compunds looks promising. TB-500 is a synthetic portion of th...
