Re: I appear to be immune to exogenous androgens.
If sex hormone receptors in the brain are silenced, you can boost androgens but there wont be much more activity at the receptor. androgen and estrogen signal in the brain stays low. the only chance we have is demethylation regimens or gene therapy at this point

Re: I appear to be immune to exogenous androgens.
Is this something that has been observed in PSSD affected people? Not only do they have no effect whatsoever on sex drive, but also on other typical effect of steroids such as improved strength, endurance, recovery, etc. I have tried: ---Testosterone gel (up to 200mg/day dosage for a week) No effec...

Re: Theories on estrogen and sex hormones (temporary full remission after 15 years)
I think in the rebound you restored some estrogen signalling
my bet is that your estrogen pills did not work, because the receptors itself are silenced or downregulated
when you took AI and discontinued, estrogen receptor mRNA upregulated for some time (rebound)

You think once you notice symptom its early enough to quit it and be fine without permanent damage?Wicksy1995 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 7:14 am I should be okay as my dose isn’t too high, I just have to watch out for symptoms. I honestly wouldn’t know what else to try as I’ve exhausted basically every option available

Did someone trial plain 5ht1a agonism + TRT?
I got my biggest window from 5ht1a agonism, like DXM high dose, although DXM is very dirty so it could have been a different mechanism No reaction to MDMA and psychedelics This makes me think in PSSD there is actually a hypersensitive pre-synaptic 5ht1a autoreceptor, which puts a brake on neuronal 5...

Re: Crackling in brain
I have that too. I think its brain zaps and its a sign of high extracellular serotonin in the brain.
