Re: DoIt's story and hopefully recovery

Hey DoIT, I experienced brain zaps, ED and libido issues (for the first time ever) after suddenly discontinuing Mirtazapine. But while I was taking it, my libido was higher than normal. You can read my introduction story for more info. And this is unrelated to sexual dysfunction, but I noticed after...

Re: Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy- Timberline OP

I suspect a lot of people on this forum are in a state of panic. There is nothing sexy about that. It doesn't help that the main conversation here is only about trying different drugs and supplements. (and that some moderators are so quick to dismiss "unscientific" treatments like acupunct...

Re: Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy- Timberline OP

This is incredibly helpful, guys. Thanks for sharing. To think our issue was only about neurotransmitters and receptors... that way of thinking led to so much hopelessness. To finally see that this is really, like someone said, a perfect storm, a combination of several causes, physical and mental, a...

Re: PSSD after Celexa/Lexapro/Remeron/MDMA

Thanks for the reply, Ghost. I sent an email to Joseph Ben-Sheetrit re: the PSSD study, and received this response: Thank you for your contact and interest in the study. Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD) is a form of persistent sexual dysfunction which starts during treatment with antidepressants ...

Re: How to deplete serotonin in the raphe nuclei?

ethanmatthews, I received your PM, but for some reason I am unable to send PMs, so I will reply here. My daily diet might look like this: Breakfast: eggs, avocado, sardines, salad Lunch: chicken with skin, vegetables cooked in oil or topped with cheese Dinner: more meat and veggies, with a high-fat ...

Re: How to deplete serotonin in the raphe nuclei?

In my case, discontinuing Mirtazapine suddenly, after taking it for months, caused my initial sexual dysfunction. And a year later, after taking MDMA, my sexual dysfunction was worsened and I experienced genital anesthesia and pleasureless orgasms for the first time. I still suffer from genital anes...

Re: PSSD after Celexa/Lexapro/Remeron/MDMA

So I've posted my story, and shared some research leads, but still no love from this forum. I think it has something to do with my atypical history, recreational drug use, and stuff. I would just like to point out that, like you guys, I am suffering from genital numbness and ejaculatory anhedonia. T...

Effects of Psychotherapy on 5HT1A receptor density

Has anyone here tried psychotherapy? I started seeing a therapist a few months ago, and during this time I've noticed the most improvement in my sexual symptoms (genital numbness, ejaculatory anhedonia) since I first had them in July 2013. I am not a Psych. student or someone who has extensive knowl...

Would CBD help? The study below is about the agonistic properties of CBD (cannabidiol) at 5-HT1A receptors.

PSSD after Celexa/Lexapro/Remeron/MDMA

Hi all, I am new to this forum, although I've been a long time lurker across the various PSSD forums. I thought it might help if I start contributing, since I haven't heard of a case like mine. My history: - daily, heavy cannabis use since 2009 Jan. 2011 : saw doctor for anxiety, tried Celexa for a ...
