Re: Suffering for 23 years
Wow, I'm really sorry this happened to you. I can't imagine going through surgery and to not even get any benefit at the end of it. I'm really glad that the Panorama documentary is reaching more people. People have a right to know that these drugs can cause long lasting effects. I would be careful w...

Your Story Matters: Please Share Your Experience With The PSSD Network
Hello everyone, The PSSD Network is a newly established charity that is doing great work spreading awareness of PSSD. They have already managed to get PSSD featured on a BBC Panorama documentary and major UK newspapers. They are looking for as many people as possible to come forward and share their ...

Re: SRIs must not be called "anti-depressants"
You are right. I should have called them "depression pills" as Peter Gøtzsche does. These drugs can have many more negative effects beyond sexual problems. I don't think SSRIs even "work" for severe depression. http://cepuk.org/2021/06/16/guest-blog-really-depressed-people-need-a...

Are antidepressants the biggest medical disaster in history?
I think they might be. Short 8-12 week industry funded trials show a 3 point difference on a 50 point scale of a depression questionnaire. Somehow that is used as justification to give these drugs to millions. In my country 20% of the adult population is taking an antidepressant, so even if harm is ...

Re: Are there any biochemical explanations as to why some develop PSSD only after withdrawal?
You would better talk to a doctor and get out of the internet. There's treatments that doesn't give you low libido, decreased sensation and inability to cry. Yeah, talk to a doctor...I'm sure that will help /s They have brain damage from an SSRI, doctors don't even believe this exists. Talking to t...

Re: PSSD for 3 years, corticosteroids temporarily cured all PSSD symptoms
I recently came across this paper and it reminded me of this thread: https://www.future-science.com/doi/full/10.4155/fmc-2021-0068 It seems like corticosteroids can bind to tryptophan hydroxylase and enhance it's function in some way. It's possible this would lead to more serotonin in your brain and...

That doctor was so clueless. "PSSD is rare". He sees a patient with obvious PSSD and then writes it off as being caused by trauma. I bet he also thinks blue skies are rare because he doesn't look up.

Re: Calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3)
Does anyone know if there is anyone out there that ever tried this? I am really curious to know if other people get the same effects as me. If taken at the right dose it could potentially cure someone with PSSD. I know people on here have experimented with all sorts of things so I figured someone mi...

Re: Calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3)
Hey guys, sorry I didn't reply sooner. I take very small amounts of vitamin D now (200iu). You need to understand that I am quite unwell though. I doubt a normal person would notice anything from such a low dose. Something is wrong in my body. I take a tiny dose of vitamin D and my bones are aching ...

Calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3)
Hey, I wanted to post this as an idea for something you could try and take if you a desperate and willing to risk the side effects. I would be really interested to know what happens if anyone takes this. I have had some form of PSSD for almost 7 years now. During that time I developed another medica...
