Re: Sertraline reinstatement

Another interesting case related to reinstatement with sertraline: I had posted elsewhere I believe, but also experienced complete long term reversal with re-instating a different SSRI. Even after withrdrawing, it remained 100%. It was a switch to Wellbutrin which re-instated the PSSD. Short story: ...

Re: Is there a period where it's too late to reinstate?

It's never too late for reinstatement, Ghost's friend reinstated and recovered after 7 years.

Re: Video from a guy who got cured 7 years ago

I can confirm that reinstatement can induce improvement, there are even some people who claim to be cured. For details and references, check out this thread https://www.pssdforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=4682.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

A case of apparently complete recovery resulting from reinstatement of an SSRI, specifically fluvoxamine, was cited in another thread. I used prozac for 1 year nd got pssd..for 10 months..it was horrible i had no hope.Anxiety came back nd had to take fluvoxamine..for 4 months.I still had sexual numb...

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

I'm glad to know that sertraline is working for you too FindGoodNickname. Here's another case of persistent improvements from sertraline: https://www.pssdforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3999 I read a comment by a member of this forum in which they argued that reinstatement is not a sensible treat...

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

Before reinstating I was suffering from anorgasmia, this problem is less pronounced now and my libido is extremely low instead of nonexistent. I still suffer from severe PSSD, with anesthesia, erectile dysfunction, sperm abnormalities, basically all sexual symptoms except extreme difficulty or inabi...

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

@alberecu Can you explain where you're at? What exactely gave you the improvement? And have you then discontinued, and then the improvement was gone? Please tell me more. The improvement occurred within two weeks after stopping the medication and it has now persisted for almost a year. I think the ...

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

I tapered off, it's not me in the article, but I agree that sudden discontinuation may not be a major factor in PSSD, I have met severe cases that had tapered for years.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

I've been on sertraline for over 2 years now. No improvements, I've been slowly tapering off. After doing a one-month reinstatement with sertraline up to 100mg I have had significant improvements, I am nowhere near pre-PSSD levels but I have regained some libido and can orgasm in a normal amount of...
