Re: Lithium carbonate + testosterone?
The therapeutic dose you were aiming for was therapeutic for manic people, not for people with PSSD. The therapeutic dose for bipolars induces anhedonia (to counterbalance mania, which can overactivate reward systems). This may explain why above 400 mg you felt less motivated. I read that Meso said ...

Re: My experience with low-dose lithium orotate and its cognitive and sexual improvements
J+30 I started taking 300 mg of St John's Wort extract in the evening. My partner didn't want me to take this plant because it makes me tired. I passed that the fatigue effect could be counterbalanced by the stimulating effect of lithium on me. J+31 Took my St John's wort around 8pm. I started play...

Re: Lithium carbonate + testosterone?
Physicians' lack of knowledge of neuroscience is distressing. It's hard to find doctors who are good listeners, humble enough to deal with the complexity of the nervous system, and open to learning from their patients... Sometimes, doctors are so sure of themselves in their lack of knowledge, that t...

Re: Anyone else start questioning whether their libido is a libido?
I too sometimes think about sex or engage in (limited) sexual behavior, but never experience emotional arousal or pleasurable sensations. The neurological circuits involved in sexual behavior are independent of the arousal felt, and these too are independent of the pleasure experienced. Of course, w...

If you want to convince a doctor of your problem, you have to use scientific language. If you want to make her aware of the dysfunctions caused by drugs, print out articles you've read on Pubmed, or read in the press interviewing researchers on the subject. Meso shared his full article published in ...

Re: My theory for overnight PSSD upon 2nd, or 3rd SSRI
This strategy has been tried before, and while some people have experienced some relief, I don't recall reading any stories of recovery. Personally, I don't think it's the answer, because given the diversity of symptoms involved in some cases of PSSD (sexual, cognitive, emotional, energetic), it sug...

Re: My experience with low-dose lithium orotate and its cognitive and sexual improvements
J+16 Lithium orotate increased from 10 to 15 mg. Since taking it in the morning, I manage to go to bed at a decent hour. I wake up early and work from morning to night. I'm still as productive and creative as when I started lithium. J+19 I seem more attracted to sweet foods: maple syrup, chestnut c...
