Re: acne medication and pssd
Yep i took accutane when I was 17, 1.5 years before I took Paxil... I didn't notice anything whilst on it in terms of libido or anything. Still very high. But the SSRI's fucked me.
Re: Nystatin
Guys, Nystatin reduces cortisol. It could be the mechanism. Personally, high cortisol explains all of our symptoms. Cortisol turns into adrenaline and is very vaso constrictive (erectile issues). Second, cortisol puts your body into fight or flight mode. When you are in this mode, your body shuts of...

Re: Ghost: regarding PSSD subtypes
There was a day where my numbness was totally cured on nystatin. --- Nystatin reduces cortisol. I think this is similiar to cushings syndrome. Anyone have lots of stretch marks? My body is covered in them, they were purple when younger. Cortisol --> Translates into excess nor adrenaline Adrenaline ...

Re: On progesterone and allopregnanolone: effects on the central nervous system (CNS)
@Mesolimbo "Allopregnanolone potentiates GABA-A mediated inhibition of 5-HT neurons in the dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN)" Could gaba agonism indirectly upregulate 5ht1a receptors? At least in the short term If so, wouldn't Allopregnanolone further enhance gaba induced 5ht1a upregulation temp...

Re: Missa Intro
Welcome! My story is fairly similar, I took Accutane and then Paxil. Accutane didn't make me depressed though. I only took Paxil for social anxiety and thought something was wrong with me due to having a hard time to relate and make friends. Was also hyper sexual until after Paxil, except it took 4 ...

What do your guys head feel like? I attribute it to like a 'tiredness, fatigued' like feeling inside the brain. I feel pressure almost, not 'clear'.
I have blunted emotions too but it feels like my brain is mush, deprived of oxygen, and sleep.
How would you guys describe it?

I can confirm, I have experiences intense sexual emotions and feelings whilst asleep. Upon waking though, that's another story - back to emotional blunting nothingness.
Sleep deprivation also helps greatly with being able to 'feel' again. Sleeping 'resets' me back to crapness.

Re: Zero emotions
Same thing that is wearing me down. I believe if we can get the emotions back or stop the 'numbing / flatness' the sexuality side will come back.
Do you have sleep apnoea?
Do you have a phobia or 'flaw' that you see in yourself where you avoid public / social things / going out?

Hey mate have you tried sleep deprivation? Cures my anhedonia and gives me a clear head, as well as ups my sexuality and pleasure during orgasm. What's your take on that and what mechanism is able to over ride all others instantly even your gut theory?
