What do you mean by deafness and what other parts were affected?Although I once had genital deafness for psychological reasons (other parts of the body were affected as well) but this time it's really physical.

Re: Do you also have skin changes from PSSD?
You're not alone. I have this as well. I have also noticed a "shine" on the penis skin sometimes. And that rubbery feeling. It's definitely physical. Sometimes I think I have PFS rather than PSSD despite never touching Fin or Saw Palmetto. Many PFSers talk of rubber dick. I'm the opposite ...

Re: Bunny Intro
I just got pointed to the trauma hypothesis myself a couple of weeks ago and it all falls into place out of a sudden. I think traumatisation and PSSD both are true. And I think it is not one or the other. I think they relate to each other. Thimm, can you please expand on this hypothesis. I think yo...

Re: 5htp
Probably serotonergics are best avoided but it isn't as easy to write off everything as harmful. I also had negative experience with 5htp. But Bacopa for example, which according to some sources raises serotonin, has reportedly benefited many on this forum if you read the thread. Of course I am temp...

Re: PRAMIPEXOLE- Cured
I'm pleased for the user's reported success but it's best to see if theses effects last for some months before posting a success story. I think admins at Propeciahelp usually allow 4 months after a supposed recovery before posting on the recovery section in case of relapses or downswings.

Re: Trazodone gave me PSSD
I’m interested in this theory. I have had pelvic discomfort since this problem started consisting of dull ache/burning feelings in perinium/prostate area. I rarely sit down on my office chair now, as it feels uncomfortable for long periods. I was reading a propeciahelp topic on same idea earlier. Ch...

Re: is pssd following a hypersexual phases / hyperstimulation ?
Yup. Hypersexual probably. Ironically when I was a student I use to welcome the onset of SSRI use as it gave me a break from looking at porn to focus on more important things. Although this lag only lasted 1-2 weeks and my libido was back reasonably strong. My only real relationship happened while o...

Re: Opioid system - the real cause?
It appears to have helped some pfs sufferers, especially with numbness/sensitivity.

Re: Hey guys can I update you all on my situation?
This guy recovered from what looks like pssd/accutane by doing all of the somatic exercises from the Hanna Somatics book over several months.
Word search accutane, its further down page.

Re: is this pssd ? from mirtazapine
Yes, it seems even pro-sexual ADs are not as reliable as one would hope. I have quite bad pssd after one month of mirtazapine end of last year. User paramahamsa also reported sexual dysfunction discontinuing. Both of us had previous ssri use though. I've also read some cases of Trazodone causing pro...
