Re: Are there any recovery stories anywhere?

There's a list here: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/success-stories/ However, there are several stories that are not on the link. 3 months is still pretty early. The self-blame doesn't help, but I do it too. It's really the doctors' faults though, it's their responsibility to inform you the risks of...

Re: Are there any recovery stories anywhere?

No, I never drink alcohol, not before, during, or after treatment with Prozac. The craziest thing is, because I have health issues and my doctors & I weren't sure how I would respond to an SSRI, I only took 2.5mg. I chopped a 10mg pill into quarters. There was a day or so when I tried 5mg, but w...

Are there any recovery stories anywhere?

I posted in the introduction forum about my story. I'm female, 3 months out from taking Prozac and most days, I feel completely numb. Today is one of the bad days. Some days there's slight improvement, but I'm beginning to forget what it felt like to have sensation or orgasm normally. Anyway, I'm de...

Re: Since developing PSSD, has your anxiety lessened?

My anxiety has decreased significantly, though I would definitely not say that I don't experience anxiety at all. I do, but I think it's a normal level now. My resting heart rate is lower also. It's difficult to say if my short trial of Prozac (like 12 days or so) contributed to this, or if it's bec...

Re: Took Prozac Twice, Recovered Once (So far!)

Thanks so much. You're right - it is nonsense, but it's difficult not to feel remorse and self-blame. My depression has improved a lot, and I wish I had made some life changes prior to trying antidepressants, but I was in a dark place, and I was hopeful that it would change my life for the better. H...

Re: Took Prozac Twice, Recovered Once (So far!)

I wouldn't have tried it a second time had my first experience with it been as an adult. I was in a deep depression, so obviously I wasn't doing tons of research. I assumed that the sexual dysfunction occurred because I was a child when taking it and because I was on a high dose.

Took Prozac Twice, Recovered Once (So far!)

Just wanted to share my story here. I'm female. As a kid, at 13, I was dealing with a lot of bullying in school, so naturally I was depressed. My parents took me to a psychiatrist who put me on Prozac. I don't recall the dose, but I know it was high for a child. It did help me at that time. I was mo...
