Re: Best SSRI to use for reinstatement? Sertraline?

Sertraline, the only SSRI that increases dopamine: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20816814/ "We examined effects of sertraline, fluvoxamine, and paroxetine on extracellular serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline levels in the medial prefrontal cortex, nucleus accumbens and striatum of rats usi...

Best SSRI to use for reinstatement? Sertraline?

It seems like Sertraline is the one people found to have helped the most for reinstatement, with reports regarding regaining emotions, sexual function and nearly if not completely reverses everything their previous SSRI may have left them with. I wonder if there's anything else? Is it just sertraline?

Re: Sertraline reinstatement

I have also reinstated because I read 2 or more stories where people reinstated with Sertraline very high dose and then withdrew after 1 month, and then everything turned normal for them again ("food for thought" article on Prof. Healy's website and other reports). But I am so in need of ...

SSRI and digit span test

Does anyone have any idea why this occurred? Before escitalopram, I could consistently get 12 on reverse and 10 on forward in this digit span test: https://timodenk.com/blog/digit-span-test-online-tool/ During and long after discontinuation, it's stuck at 6 on reverse and 9 on forward. I simply am u...

Is there a period where it's too late to reinstate?

I've read around and it seems it's best to reinstate as early as possible from the last dose of discontinuation, and the latest is weeks and perhaps 1 month. What if you cold turkeyed off the drug and has been off of it for 1 year, and still experiencing mild withdrawal symptoms and other long lasti...

Escitalopram reduces attentional performance in anxious patients

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22717018/ https://academic.oup.com/ijnp/article/16/2/279/623445 It seems permanent or long lasting for me so far, so does anyone here knows a way to reverse this effect? despite being 21 years old and not like the patients in the studies who are 60 and above, I also h...

stimulants might have cured my PSSD

I'm 8 months since off of escitalopram and during those 8 months, there were minor improvements but very little, and windows of days where it felt decent, but still not good enough to old feeling, and there are days where it felt completely dead in the orgasm. Recently I got really really desperate ...

PSSD due to cold turkey quit

I asked around and it seems to me the majority of people who were fine after quitting SSRIs were those who tapered off very slowly, span of months, little by little, and the majority of PSSD and other long lasting symptoms sufferer were those who quit cold turkey or those who tapered off too fast. H...

are mood stablizers safe?

my doctor wants me on mood stablizer, ive been through ssris and got life ruined by them, you know how it goes. Question is, are mood stablizer anywhere as dangerous as ssris? i did some research and it seems mood stabilizer also reduce dopamine and increase serotonin, i think this will definitely b...
