Re: Hi, All [Introduction]

Hi, it's so good you found something that helped! Did you have genital anaesthesia as well? Did it disappear too? And what about emotional range, feeling of love, joy, excitement? Did everything come back? Can you tell us what hormones are exactly in your cream? Thank you!!!

Re: Visited a psychiatrist who recognizes pssd

Hi, this is the american Prozac leaflet if you don't have it yet. p 14. "There are no adequate and well-controlled studies examining sexual dysfunction with fluoxetine treatment. Symptoms of sexual dysfunction occasionally persist after discontinuation of fluoxetine treatment." http://pi.l...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

Hi Brook, as you are a lawyer if I'm not wrong, can you give me some information? I know EU law can be different than US, but still.. Can I sue even if I got the generic form and not the brand name? Can we have a class action when we've taken different drugs from the SSRI class or is is necessary to...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

I don't know whether it induces brain damage or not. But I question the studies that almost picture SSRIs as "beneficial" for the brain. How this can be if between the recognized side effects there is cognitive dysfunction, memory dysfunction etc.? This is contradictory... Unfortunately th...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

Maybe there is a 4th one. The person I told you about stopped his long term escitalopram (he had some SD on it though), then reinstated, this is when his reaction happened. So maybe 4. After reinstatement/kindling? Mine is the 1st without doubts. But based on the existence of 3rd scenario and the te...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

Well, in both cases that I mentioned the neurotoxicity theory and diagnosis came from the medical community itself. I don't know whether it's involved in PSSD or not, although its undeniable that there are similarities in symptoms. Actually, there are suggestions that SSRIs can cause Serotonin Syndr...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

Unfortunately I don't know more. As the study goes rather slow as I see, I expect it to be published next year, but this is just my thought. My friend who suffered a similar reaction to escitalopram (after kindling) was just diagnosed with neurotoxicity (toxic encephalopathy) as lesions were showed ...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

A short addition: I'm a woman, and participated in Ben-Sheetrit's study. As for me the process ended already (I assume not for everyone, so it's not the final result) I asked him about his conclusions so far. He thinks that it is a kind of serotonergic neurotoxicity, just FYI. I hope this will help ...

Re: UK PSSD legal action

Hi, I'm not in UK, but EU. Is it still possible to participate? I assume on EU level we could find like 10-20 person at least who would actively participate. I was harmed by (generic) escitalopram like many others. I have the feeling (by researching this for 2,5 years already) this is the drug (toge...

Re: Participants for PSSD study most wanted

Hi! I'm new to the forum although I'm a long-time reader.

I'm interested in participating in the study. I suffer from pssd and withdrawal from only 11 pills of escitalopram for almost two years already. I want to share my story soon.

I wish healing for everyone here.
