Re: Gut microbiota theory and the cure
Right, but most people actually have increased difficulty passing stool after getting pssd. Wouldn’t that indicate that serotonin isn’t high

Re: Gut microbiota theory and the cure
I do believe too. But I'm sure that SIBO is not the only one pathogen that could be doing you harm. I had a SIBO test and it was negative - that's where a lot of folk instantly dismiss this theory. But it could be any imaginable infection, virus or any other entity that had an opportunity to flouri...

Re: The reason we don't respond to any drugs, PSSD root cause IL6-SERT feedback loop
I wrote about cytokine & serotonin connection a long time ago, and you are not right here. The problem is not in IL-6, the problem is related to TH2 cytokines, IDO/TDO, immune predisposition (gut dysbiosis and stress) and defective serotogenic system (including genetic mutation and epigenetic c...

I completely agree and many more people should view this thread seriously

Re: My PSSD hypothesis (NH3, hyperammonemia, infections) 3 years of research, trial and error
Agreed. I can tell you ANA titers have not consistently come back high across all forums. I can tell you from talking to 30 doctors lol that autoimmunity is in its infancy and often the exact right thing needs to be tested for to find antibodies..like a needle in a haystack. The infection etiology t...

Re: A more general PSSD hypothesis (NH3, hyperammonemia, infections) 3 years of research, trial and error
Love this theory. My theory is more along autoimmune. I think the high ammonia is from muscle breakdown and thus protein breakdown. But yes these are the theories I agree with

Re: PSSD for 3 years, corticosteroids temporarily cured all PSSD symptoms
Did you have emotional blunting / anhedonia and did the corticosteroids improve that? Can’t believe this thread isn’t talked about more. At this point, we can all agree even if the root cause is never found, we could all be beyond happy with symptom management

Re: I am going to drop a major bomb soon
Some of these are definetly PSSD related, why some do have more severe symptoms, it's from this 5-HT1A theory that these people pre-synaptic 5-HT1A receptor is desensitized more severely. PFS and PSSD do have some common symptoms, but correlation does not mean causation. Exactly, I've been saying t...

Re: My theory - Etiology of PSSD and potential treatment.
Across all forums, you guys will know I’m on the theory this is autoimmune. However, one thing that scares me are posts throughout forums about people having qeegs and fmris showing profound brain dysfunction. Calm my mind and tell me we didn’t burn out receptors or our brain. I’m hoping these tests...
