Recognising and explaining functional neurological disorder
It's become more evident that those who have been diagnosed with FND like myself that the supposed "unexplained" nature of this disorder is explained by psychotropic drug reactions or withdrawals that have been overlooked or ignored. Although my doctors and neurologist agree that the drug ...

Article: "To Minimize Medication Withdrawal, Taper Slowly"
I found this very interesting article the other day and while I was researching AP and AD tapering/withdrawal before I attempted to taper and stop August-Sept last year I found almost no info regarding tapering APs and followed the "recommended" protocol which is what ended me in deep sh!t...

I have had 4 jabs, no issues at all, no change that I could feel other than a few days of tiredness.

Re: Do you have anhedonia?
I had this to a degree while I had depression/fatigue and also when I was on Rexulti, but since stopping and developing PSSD and other neuro/protracted symptoms I have 0 anhedonia and in fact better than ever in that regard. I enjoy new things in my life which I hadn't before.
So I voted no.

Re: Anyone live a sex life during pssd
The reason I stopped my med is that I had delayed onset (Tardive) side effects (was taking an AP called Rexulti) including arousal disorder, ED and low libido that started 18 months into treatment and got worse with time, other things including weight gain, mild bipolarish symptoms? and anxiety, sl...

Re: Are there recovery stories after several years?
Well I think that is a classic case of observer or confirmation bias. I can put money that most people have no idea what they have or had when they had PSSD and it's very possible that they recovered before finding out or bothering to research retrospectively. It's impossible that there is a clear l...

Re: Recovered after almost 4 years
That's great to hear. Absolutely mental state and attitude play a significant role in recovery. I was diagnosed with FND as PSSD or PWS/PAWS isn't an officially recognized condition and while I didn't know I had something of a PSSD/PWS variety, I studied FND pretty extensively and it is well establi...

Re: bad thoughts
Rexulti ruined my life and I heard is is far less harsh than Abilify. They are 2 faces of the same coin so to speak. Rexulti is an iteration of Abilify by the same company.
I would avoid at all costs. APs are very nasty indeed.

Re: Why is there no study of pssd caused by antipsychotics?
That's what I would like to know too. An AP is what causes all my issues and my symptoms are very different to the AD sufferers here apart from a few symptoms that is shared with PSSD. I agree, I think the pathology is different to ADs and more like benzos as AP withdrawals in severe cases mirror p...
