Re: PSSD and the pelvic floor thing

Hi Trazohell, are you saying that you think an essential component, if not the main thing, behind PSSD is pelvic floor issues, but that you have been unsuccessful in treatment?

Re: New study reveals the epigenetic effects of Citalopram

Could anyone summarize for me what the state of things is epigenetics-wise? It seems like people think methylation is involved on the cause of PSSD. Is the issue that we don’t have data on which genes are methylated in PSSD sufferers, and furthermore that even if we did, no tools exist to de-methyla...

Re: CURED

If it works be demythylating DNA, then getting results would take months. But I think methylation is looking more and more like what our problem is. So I am going to be trying to get my hands on some. One should expect to need to take for several months in order to get results. Not something to take...

Re: CURED

I am amazed that there hasn’t been a large number of people here trying Lithium after this recovery report. As far as I know it’s basically the only one on the forum (or at least easily the most convincing one)? No one here has made any attempt to repeat this recovery at all? I am visiting from a di...

Re: AnhedonicApe - Intro

Why do you say to avoid alcohol, exactly? Why would alcohol set back a recovery?

Re: Anyone visited a good doctor (e.g., Goldstein)?

I went to Goldstein a year ago and got the battery of tests done. He offered me PRP therapy and a surgical procedure on my back, both of which I declined. He prescribed me addyi, which I didn’t find to be helpful. As jjr81 wrote, there are some people who find his methods beneficial, but I didn’t r...

Re: Bethanechol Chloride Trial - [Jacob: 36M, Citalopram, PSSD for 20yrs]

I think it might be sensible to cut dose. A couple studies I saw earlier were giving 50 or 75mg daily, not 100. Later when have chance I'll try to go find them and post links. If going to run out of medication in less than couple months then I would probably cut dose to make last longer.

Anyone visited a good doctor (e.g., Goldstein)?

Can anyone tell me if they, or anyone they’ve heard of, has visited a doctor who was helpful? For example, I’ve seen a few references to Irwin Goldstein on here. But I haven’t actually heard any descriptions of what people got out of visiting them or even what the helpful doctors have done at all (e...

Re: I've pretty much recovered.

Thank you for coming back and sharing your story. Could you possibly share more of how you were able to recover? I also think, for many at least, this may be related to trauma, and I'd like to use that as a basis for attempted recovery myself. But I don't know what to do with it. I have a psychother...

Re: Can't function without amisulpride, don't know what to do

Amisulpride is the only AD that works for me but I stopped taking it because of the prolactin. The only way I was able to have a good mood without it was by getting really "into" something. So by finding a project to basically obsess over. It's worked well though and now my mood is still g...
