U.K. doctors
U.K. doctors
Hi guys,
Has anyone in the U.K. had any luck with finding a doctor, private or NHS, who has been willing to experiment with and prescribe drugs off label for PSSD? If you could share their name and your experience below that would be great.
I thought I’d start this thread as we don’t have any specialists on the RxISK list.

St Mary's hospital have a department that specialises in sexual dysfunction from medication. I saw Alison mears there and honestly wasn't to impressed. She fully acknowledges pssd and said to me I should give it time and see if I improve. However she also said ppl have benefited from cabergoline but wasn't willing to prescribe it herself. If your a woman that wants testosterone for sex Change that's ok but our quality of life apparently doesn't matter. It was nice to not have to explain what pssd is atleast. Her colleague Dr goldmeier is meant to be good to see but he's on long term leave and may not come back to work.Frog wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 6:43 pm Hi guys,

It’s annoying isn’t it! I’ve got an appointment with a neurologist soon who’s meant to be quite good so I’ll let you know what happens!Breathdeep wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 8:45 amSt Mary's hospital have a department that specialises in sexual dysfunction from medication. Hopefully within the next few weeks. I’ve written to him first and asked he he’s willing to prescribe off label as I’ve got an idea of what I’d like to try. If he won’t then I’ll look elsewhere. It’s quite pricey so I’d rather find out first so I don’t have to pay if he won’tBreathdeep wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 6:42 pmPls do. Re: U.K. doctors
During my first bout of CFS my doctor was prepared to prescribe Pamipexole for very minor Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) while in bed...as it was minor I didn't take him up on the offer. Might be a route in?

PSSD after 3 days on Sertraline (50mg) (Aurobindo) December 2016 to date.
Tinnitus, insomnia (1.5 hours/night sleep) poor memory/cognition as a bonus!
Possibly PSSD from October 1998...just didn't realise what I was suffering from! (pre internet)
