Was there anything else you tried that you thought helped? I am in a relatively early stage of this compared to most people here (about 6 months) and am really torn between waiting further and trying things with the risk of damaging what functionality I still have.
Hi Greg
I tried bupropion, SJW and a couple of other things but I think nothing was working for me and I didn't want to risk it any further. So I went to a naturopath. I do exercise, meditation, deep breathing and eat a very clean diet. I don't know if anything out of these is helping but overall the recovery curve has an upward trend with ups and downs but an overall upward trend. The recovery is painfully slow. It has been almost 18 months since my last SSRI but I'll never risk a drug till I am alive.

I hope so man that I have a success story sometime in the future. I am doing nothing chemical. I do salt water flushes every week. I do intermittent fasting daily for 16 hours and do a juice/ fresh coconut water fast once a week. That's about it. I have stopped having alchohol and mostly eating raw foods. As I told I consulted a naturopath and I have been following a naturopathic lifestyle.

I did the salt flush without the water and I ended up in hospital.

EDITED. Removed screenshot with DRIKSDOG chat, which was mistakenly taken as recovery, but he was having just some improvements with CBD and thats it.

Defmyst,

Similar to the antianxiety drug buspirone, CBD activates a type of serotonin receptor (5-HT1A).

Cannabidiol is listed here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-HT1A_receptor

as agonist.

Well, it's interesting some drugs are gaining attention for potential cure. Lithium, CBD, buspirone...

I've tried to use CBD but I didn't last 1 week. It made me very depressed. Maybe my CBD was shit, but I bought from a realiable source.

I texted DriksDog yesterday and he says he hasn’t recovered. He’s seen some improvements with CBD but that’s all.
