Re: Sertraline reinstatement

I have also reinstated because I read 2 or more stories where people reinstated with Sertraline very high dose and then withdrew after 1 month, and then everything turned normal for them again ("food for thought" article on Prof. Healy's website and other reports).
But I am so in need of some motivation and good feelings that I don't want to live without Sertraline currently. I spent 2 days without it, and it was horror.

So I can't test this approach yet.

I least I'm a ginnipig now. Hopefully my tests help somebody else in the future.

I feel that if Sertraline is helping you emotionally AND you don't mind a numb genital and/or other effects for now, it's possible that you will get things reverted back as you start feeling emotionally healthy.

I'd say focus on your mental health.

if you are planning to quit the sertraline to test the theory, shouldn't you taper very slowly? you spent 2 days without it, i think it's obvious it will give it horror side effects.
Did the success stories taper or quit cold turkey off of the reinstating of zoloft?

Honest if something's working for you, why quit?
Even if it's working emotionally only.
I suspect if one is happy even with this utter bullshit then it's possible that the body will get the hint and heal.

Keep up updated!

In https://rxisk.org/sex-no-sex-sex-no-sex/ the patient says he stopped abruptly.

My dream would be that I quit Sertraline abruptly, then my sex drive comes back, and I would start Sertraline again, my sex drive would remain. Then I would NEVER stop Sertraline anymore.
Because currently I don't feel sleepy anymore. I was so afraid it might become chronic fatigue.
As I have said before, I wish I didn't quit Sertraline in the first place.
I only quit because I wanted to have a perfectly normal sex life again.
My sex life was a little bit of ED, but everything else was great.

Currently, I suffer from diarrhoe again because of Sertraline. That is quite annoying sometimes, but well...

Since a few days, my penis is really big at masturbation. Like pre-PSSD. The glans especially.
And I am more horny at masturbating. I remember that before reinstatement I looked at porn very critical and disliked bodies and faces.
Now my view is more animalistic.
And the orgasms are a bit like exploding.
The volume of ejaculation however has not changed .

And I feel tired after an orgasm.
With PSSD and before reinstatement, I was NEVER tired after having an orgasm.
My current dosage of Sertraline is 10 mg in the morning, 10 mg at midday and 10 mg at evening.
For me, this is NOT minimal. I react rather strongly to it.

I mean feeling a bit tired/sleepy after orgasm is rather normal dude

Are you saying the glans is more sensitive now? if orgasms are back ejaculation shouldn't be an issue but chances are it will come back too

How's the sensitivity?

Do you feel any hair changes?

How's your overall mood?

Yes, I know that feeling sleepy after an orgasm is normal. But when I had PSSD, my orgasms were relatively mute, and I was not tired after it. Now it's no longer mute, and I DO feel sleepy after having an orgasm. So it has normalized again.

Yes, my genital area is more sensitive now.

No hair changes. I never had any hair change problems.

My mood is good, even a bit "too good": Driven and motivated and a tiny bit euphoric.

And addiction tries to come back... I am a dry alcoholic for 4 years, and I quit smoking 2 years ago.
Now I feel like drinking and smoking again. So it's clearly a side effect of Sertraline.

My aggression however has normalized again, I have it better under control now.

If you were to put a percentage to your genital sensitivity how much would it be? how much has improved?

Probably stay away from daily consumption of alcohol and tobacco or at all.

You can always have tea, coffee or something else really.

Anyway, seems to me the less depressed you are the more you are getting back your sexuality.
