I don`t know if it was supposed to happen or if the citruline had something to do...just to say that for some minority in which i am probably part of , it might trigger something bad.
Same thing happened to me after trying quercetin two years ago.
I tried to find some common motive for these two and why they MIGHT have triggered depression for me and couldn`t find something relevant, apart for the arginase 1 or 2 pathway. Both are inhibitors to some degree..
Some research i read are saying about some protection from arginase. The one i found now is this :

Did you take supplements or get the citrulline from watermelon? Unfortunately, supplements are not regulated appropriately and are commonly loaded with dangerous impurities such as as lead! If that was the case I recommend you give watermelon a try (it becomes pretty convenient if you juice the watermelon).
Buying and juicing a watermelon every day is not very practical, especially when you can get powdered citrulline and supplement it for pennies per day. I wouldnt worry about impurities.

Okay. Let us know how things evolve. The effects I was hoping to see I assumed would take chronic dosing over the course of many months. Have you experienced nocturnal or morning erections since you started?

I agree of course, but it is certainly the safest way to get the citrulline. Even neglecting impurities, supplements almost invariably upset your bodies balance in a way that food sources of nutrients do not. Food sources also generally increase bioavailability and in the case of watermelon the lycopene will act to further increase blood flow and enhance the effect of the citrulline. My plan was mostly just to try it as an experiment under the best circumstances for a couple of weeks and then figure out the most practical way to continue. The bottom line is that my 10 day experience with citrulline sourced from watermelon had INCREDIBLE results... sexually I felt like I went from 10% back to 70%. Even Viagra did not give me the same kind of natural feeling restoration that I got from this experiment. I felt almost normal for the first time in 4 years.

Juicing the watermelons has actually not been a problem and the costs have not been that bad either. The problem has actually been finding watermelon reliably in the middle of the winter! I'll research what supplement companies are reputable and possibly continue the experiment that way.

Yes I have. I didn't really get many morning erections even when my libido was normal. But I definitely had both nocturnal and morning erections on l-citrtuline.

That is very promising indeed and consistent with my experience as well. Please update this post at regular intervals to let us know how your experience evolves over time! Case reports (some anecdotes from clinical practice) described to me by the urologist I saw in March, as well as the paper published in Italy suggest the return of sensation can lead to neurological adaption and restoration of the proper biological processes.

Also, could you post a link to the exact supplement you have been taking?

Check out my thread for all data and updates. This is the brand I take: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KY ... UTF8&psc=1

2 tabs, 2x daily (4.8g). I found this much more tolerable than l-arginine or direct NO supplements, which were very stimulating and gave me anxiety and rapid heart beat. Although I just read a paper demonstrating that l-arginine + l-citruline is more effective than either alone (for athletics, that is). Another plus is that this will super-charge your workouts. The difference in endurance is pretty stunning.

I'm glad that it has been working for you! I would be interested in knowing if supplementing citrulline yields the same results. I do supplement citrulline along with other things but have certainly not noticed a 60% improvement attributable to it alone.

You are much better off purchasing bulk powder from Amazon from a cost effectiveness standpoint. It isn't unpleasant tasting by anymeans

If I take 2 pills instead of 4 pills a day, will it make a real difference on my erection quality? Im not sure if I want to take that much everyday.

I had the best workout of my life yesterday thanks to citrulline!

Since I switched to supplemental citrulline however, I have noticed only minor improvements to erectile hardness for PSSD. No other benefits from the supplemental citrulline to report. I think the cocktail of potent antioxidants, phytochemicals, AND citrulline in the watermelon work in synergy to provide much more dramatic PSSD relief than supplemented citrulline on its own.

I recommend that anyone who is looking at trying citrulline tries consuming an entire whole watermelon a day (with some unsaturated fat like nuts or avocado to significantly increase nutrient absorption) and see how that goes. I had the best window Ive had in the 4 years of PSSD from doing that. I would continue but a) Ive had a hard time finding affordable watermelon in Canada this time of year b) my teeth are giving me some trouble right now so fruit sugar is not ideal for me at the moment.
