Desmodium adscendens for those that may not be aware, is "the" most potent potassium channel opener known to man.
Now there has just been a study where ezogabine, an anticonvulsant and yet another potassium channel opener, was found to significantly aleviate anhedonia. This is very exciting and almost unheard of, as most meds just cause it.

None of us fully know how SSRI'S cause anhedonia exactly, but I think desmodium is well worth trying anyway.
I was excited when I saw the thread title, as I hadn't heard of anyone trying this herb out before for this issue. I think potassium channel openers could make a great treatmemt target for anhedonia, as they are able to inhibit excitotoxicity in the brain which could be a major cause.
