Re: Buspar 5mg, bi-daily

Unread post by Jaxx »

It took me about a small week for the restlessness to be completely gone. I didnt have real benefits libido wise, maybe a bit better orgasm. i did 3 times 15mg a day, but the effects were strongest starting up with 3 times 5mg. The arrogant behaviour i recognise. I took it for 3-4 months or so.
Just wait and see a bit i guess, the theory about the exact mechanism sounds nice, but ive read so many reports about how people experience buspar in a different way, that i stopped thinking that way. (And i have an MSc in psychology)

Did the irritability and arrogant behaviour go away for you? Because if it stays that is unacceptable for me, my main problem seems to come from social motivation, irritability is the oposite of that.

One of the only things that made me want to be social is a hangover from binging on booze and anesthesia at the dentist. which apparantly is a combination of epi + lidocaine.
What would be an easy way to replicate this?

all irritability went away after a week or so. Most meds i took made me feel a bit unreal. I really liked paxil in the begining, but i felt off after a while. Drug induced sociability, without severe side effects is difficult to find. Paxil made me care less, also less anxiety, less social pressure etc. Sounds nice, but it comes with downsides, i also didnt like the fun stuff anymore.
Try to find it in other things is my advice. For myself, i guess i was doing social things i didnt like in the first place.

I know this sounds all hippy, and i am not against medication at all. But make an assessment how bad the benefits weigh out the cons. I havent seen a magic bullet out there yet.

i had tried it for about three weeks 2-3 months ago
i guess it did something for generalized anxiety, guess one could say so, but besides that it was all very difficult to discern
i didnt find it very effective sadly, as i had high hopes...

I started taking 5 mg twice daily this tuesday.
In about 1 hour after taking the first dose, I felt a huge sexual tension towards my housekeeper! I didnt know if I was more worried or happy because I was able to feel horny.
Later that night, I had a rage outburst that didn't fit my personality.
I was also taking 5 mg of citalopram. Decided to stop it, and things got much smoother.
I am a little bit slow, though. Always tired and sleepy. No more libido spikes. Maybe it was the ssri-buspirone interaction...

Can I buy buspar in the form of injections? Are there buspar ampoules on the market? I have gastritis so I can't use it orally.

I used sildenafil, cialis with no improvement. Yohimbine gave me slight improvement bad many side effects.
Buspirone is an alpha-2-blocker like Yohimbine [1], but it isn't as harsh.
From what I hear, most people who use Buspirone experience *primarily* increase in libido, with minimal effect on erectile function per se. But some effects on arousal, perhaps secondary to increased libido. You may want to get Urine 24hr/Plasma norepinephrine checked. If its already high, Buspar and Yohimbine might make it worse.
Doc's can order the test for you. But IF the norepinephrine is high - you want an alpha-1-blocker; like Prazosin. Not an a2-blocker, which will make it worse and that's what Buspar and Yohimbine do!

I tried yohimbine and it helped with erection and arousal, bad I had many side effects so I stopped using it. I believe that buspar can help. You say that they do same thing.
Do you know can I find buspar injections somewhere?

No such thing, not on the market. Try Yohimbine (17.5mg) + Prazosin (1mg). That should do it perfectly!

Yohimbine gave me anxiety and nausea, I can't tolerate it. I am thinking to send email to drug factory to see can they make buspirone ampoules.
