I responded to each person individually, but they weren't showing up so I decided to post it all here again. I've also updated the points, there was 1 group of points i'd left out of my previous responses.
My acupuncturist's name is Dr. Lester Banh. He practices in Redlands, CA. Here is his website: http://www.redlandsacupuncture.com/index.html
Although he didn't tell me the exact name of the technique, under the "How we can help" section of the website it lists "Sexual Dysfunction" as an area they can help with.
I told him that I wanted help with depression, memory, and most importantly sexual dysfunction. His diagnosis was that meds had altered the way the way my brain produced and regulated chemical production (like serotonin, dopamine, etc..). He said he had another patient who had been suffering from PSSD for 3 years, and was also recovering with the procedure he was going to do.
These are the points he uses, though I don't know the names of all of them (I will gladly find out next time I go, on Monday):
4-5 pins in the top of my head, near the crown. (he says these are for cognitive ability and memory)
1 pin in my forehead, between, and slightly above my eyebrows.
2-4 pins in the back of my neck (i'd forgotten to mention these actually in my previous responses, even though these are the ones i feel the strongest. i can't see exactly where he puts them, but i can feel two large ligaments in the back of my neck, and that is about where he places them. these i believe are for the production/regulation of chemicals in the brain, these are the largely the ones that i feel jumpstarted the whole process).
3 pins in each of my ears. (including one called the "zero point" or "the brain's reset button")
4 pins in my stomach. (these are specifically targeted for Libido. generally he positions them in a line going from my navel to my waist. once he arranged them in a diamond pattern around my navel. Definitely ask for these ones specifically.)
2 pins in each of my wrists. (right near where you'd normally put your fingers to feel a pulse.)
1 pin in each of the muscles between my thumb and forefinger.
1 pin in my right shin.
1 pin in the tops of each of my feet. (he says these are for "peace" and anxiety).
He has never put pins in my back. I even asked him about those, because I'd read that there were Libido boosting points in the back, and he told me that that's true, but they were significantly WEAKER than the ones he is using.
I have had 5 sessions. I noticed results the very first time (my thoughts were clearer, and i was just happier in general), but my sexual function didn't really come back the way i'm experiencing it now until the 5th session.
The last session I had I actually fallen asleep while the pins were in. Dr. Lester strongly recommends this, if possible. He says the procedure is more effective if you sleep while the pins are in.
He has not used electrical acupuncture on me. I'm actually going to ask him about that on Monday, I hadn't heard of it before.
I will also ask him about any literature he could give me, that I could refer you guys to. In the meantime if you just google "acupuncture for sexual dysfunction" there is quite a bit of material online on the subject.
I'm happy to answer any more questions, and I will also post more info (specific names of points, and any literature) on Monday after my next session. If you live in other areas aside from Southern California, I could also ask him for any acupuncturists he could refer you to.

Thank you Matthew. What date was your first session, if you don't mind saying? Do you go once a week?
Also, how long had you been off all medications when you wen to the first session?

You are a great guy. We actually need to know a few recommended acupuncturists world wide. So also in Asia, Russia, Middle-East, Africa, Europe and Canada.

No not at all, I think my first session was the 7th of September, and yes I go once a week.
I went off of all my meds around September of last year. Once since then I went back on Wellbutrin, just for about 3 weeks, (I wasn't prescribed it, I was just so depressed and had read that it could help PSSD that I went on it by myself, with an old prescription I had lying around). It made me manic, so I stopped taking it. Aside from that few weeks, I've been off all meds for about a year.
In lieu of the Wellbutrin, to help with my dopamine production, I'm now also taking a supplement called L-Tyrosine, along with a B-6 Vitamin Complex (which I hear is necessary to allow the L-Tyrosine to be effective).
I was amazed how quickly the acupuncture worked. Really I think it's all about WHICH acupuncturist you find. There are a lot of sham artists out there. I'm not sure how much longer I'll continue to go, but right now I just seem to get better every time. It's kind of expensive is the only thing... $75 a session to see Dr. Lester.

i'm not exactly sure if i had genital anesthesia.. i didn't feel much of anything, but i had assumed that was because of the lack of blood flow.
i'll ask him if genital anesthesia is something that can be helped by acupuncture.

Any info from your Acupuncturist on the names/ specific locations of the points he uses to treat you? I have an Appt in 3 hours and want to share the info with my Dr. Was checking last night for a post from you but didn't see one. Hope you see this in the next few hours.

No particular order. He adds and subtracts points as the condition changes but that's generally what it is.

Here's another update, Denise I also emailed you but i figured i'd post them here also. I stumbled on this website that lists many cases of success in treating loss of libido and other sexual dysfunctions with acupuncture, along with full lists of the points used. There are both cases for male and female success listed, along with points for male and female specifically, and points for both.

All the best denise, hope it goes well with your appointment with the acupuncturist. Hopefully you can recovery through the same means and that this will be a true tried and tested method that can help many.
Your doing great work matthew by sharing your story and explaining everything too. There was a member a while back who claimed to have recovered through acupuncture and chinese herbs, but he was very shady and reluctant to go into detail on what was specifically done. So we appreciate the time and info your sharing here.
Just remember everyone, there are many options and different ways of recovering from this. It's just a case of finding the method that works for you in my opinion. So don't anyone give up hope as we are in this together.
