SJW isn't just an SSRI, it affects multiple systems so i'd hold out for abit longer before moving to something else.
SJW works nothing like SSRIs. It has no affinity towards the 5ht1A Autoreceptor, only some very slight affinity towards the 5ht2 receptor. It also doesn't effect SERT like SSRIs do.

FYI, knocking down 5ht1A will decrease dopamine, not increase it, as serotonin is an inhibitory neurotransmitter..
It only inhibits via 5HT2C receptors. It increases dopamine by most of the other 5HT receptors.

Heres a good paper on it.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2562467/

SSRIs reduce dopamine transmission mostly via 5HT2C (hence why it should be blocked)

also, SJW does inhibit the serotonin transporter, making it an SSRI:
"Hypericin and hyperforin have been found to inhibit the uptake of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine into synaptosomes."

I've tried Perika and Kira before, with no benefits.

Perhaps I wasn't taking enough, or for long enough.

Doses, people? Let's see how much is necessary (and what brands) so we can compare apples with apples.

This is what I did:

I'm now just coming off Kira (450MG, 1 x daily - 1 tablet daily) for about 6 weeks. I only felt a reduction in anxiety (not complete, but somewhat noticeable). I also have experienced some emotional blunting.

No change in PSSD symptoms.

I've given up on my SJW experiment. Talk of it working like at srri has put me off and I was;t noticing any improvement apart from the initial burst I mentioned :( Oh well, was worth it just to know that my body is still capable of feeling good.

I have now finished sjw. Fairly unscientifically tapered off, and took my last pill yesterday. Sad to say I feel no different to before. No worse, no better. That one day of returned feelings made me feel pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, was great for that day. I felt amazing (physically and mentally), but I feel so sad to remember what I'm missing. Not just the feeling, but that missingnin a relationship is the main upsetting thing for me.

Oh well, like I said in the first place - hope that the feeling is still possible for us. If it still exists under whatever we're syffering from, it MUST be fixable x

Just wanted to let everything know that I think since doing the SJW experiment my orgasms have got worse. Not hugely, but I think that's the case. Ugh so sick of this.

kk88 how are you doing? Have you got better with orgasm? I'm pretty new to pssd. I have muted orgasm... I'm thinking of trying Wellbutrin first and even going back to paxetine(low does) and taper off super slowly...

Hey Hong, welcome to the forum and sorry you’re here.

I’ve not had much Luck since my sjw story in this post. Been trying various combos - haven’t tried Wellbutrin yet. Next up I’m thinking I’ll do the morning after pill trial or mianserin.

On my long list of supplements to try I have a note along with Wellbutrin. Not sure if I’ve seen this here or else where but I have a note to try Wellbutrin (bupropion)** (with buspar and norteipyoine - worth investigating and good luck

Hi, kk88! Have you tried Wellbutrin yet? I just started taking it last week. Was your note to take wellbutrin, buspar, and norteipyoine(nortriptyline?) all at once?
