Re: Sertraline reinstatement
Update: Since 2 days, the genital numbness has improved. Under the shower, I even touched myself because I liked the feel.
My libido has not changed much, expect for 2 minutes in 48 hours where I thought I experienced horniness.
However, ejaculation volume is really much again. And ejaculation "width" is long. Before reinstatement it was like dripping out only, and now I have ejaculated 15 cm for 2 days.
The orgasm was not really pleasureful, but it was exhausting. I actually felt something.
Also, it changed: A few days ago, the numbness was MUCH more than without Sertraline, and ED was extreme.
Now numbness (as I have written above is much less) and ED is also much less.
So there is surely still some adapting going on in my system.
And I have to take really much Sertraline for a good effect. Before PSSD, I was high from 15 mg Sertraline. Now I can take 75 mg and still feel relatively normal.

I'm glad to know that sertraline is working for you too FindGoodNickname.
Here's another case of persistent improvements from sertraline:
https://www.pssdforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3999
I read a comment by a member of this forum in which they argued that reinstatement is not a sensible treatment option, as there are only two cases with positive outcomes.
Here we have another one so at the very least we have: Ghost's friend, the case reported by Healy, the case above, and me.
Four is a significant amount of cases compared to other hypothesized treatments, especially given the widespread aversion to reinstatement.
We need to start gathering more information about this phenomenon.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
I don't think that I have achieved something wonderful, but I can see that something is changing.
I think it is too early to say that it has actually helped me, but I will keep taking it and keep observing it.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
I won't ever touch it myself again but It'd be interesting if you focus on sertraline as antidepressant/anxiolitic/antiOCD/antihypochondria only, if it's possible forget about genital numbness and heal mentally with it.. then report back.FindGoodNickname wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 3:15 pm I don't think that I have achieved something wonderful, but I can see that something is changing.

I'm reading the log, thank you for keeping it.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
Currently I am paranoid and aggressive. I have dosed a bit higher because I didn't feel as good as I wanted to.
And my libido unfortunately hasn't changed.
I try to calm down and just relax and observe what's going on.

What about genital numbness? any change?FindGoodNickname wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:26 am Currently I am paranoid and aggressive. I have dosed a bit higher because I didn't feel as good as I wanted to.

Take it easy, friend. I say make an effort to do enjoyable activities while on it. An effort to even forget you're taking it.
Thanks for the update.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
Thank you for your message and the tips!
I notice how I play with my dick again when I sit in front of the computer, so obviously the numbness is less.
I didn't do that for 2 years.
However, it's strange:
I do have a strong erection when I force myself to watch porn, but I have absolutely no libido. Or I do, and something overlays it.
It's a really strange feeling.
I have not masturbated successfully since some days because this feeling is just too strange.
I think my body reacts to the rubbing by creating an erection, but libido is missing.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
My libido and ejaculation volume and ejaculation width has worsened / not improved unforunately so far (almost no libido, few volume and little ejaculation width).
However, my anxiety is not so anymore, and I feel more social. So I will keep using Sertraline. I wish I had not stopped Sertraline at all in the first place.
As I had already explained somewhere, PSSD really set in for me 1 month after quitting Sertraline.
But well... let's see how it develops, it's 1 month now since my reinstatement, I hope something will still change, who knows.

Re: Sertraline reinstatement
A case of apparently complete recovery resulting from reinstatement of an SSRI, specifically fluvoxamine, was cited in another thread.
Similarly to what happened in other cases, improvements occurred only after discontinuation.
