Windows with SSRI

Unread post by Joao Paulo Brasil »

I had some windows with escitalopram that lasted three days, but then the effect wore off. A few months later I tried brintelix and had a little relief for two days and then the effects disappeared. What do you think about these symptoms? Has anyone had windows with reinstatement?
Escitalopram and venlafaxine (7 months)

It appears you're getting temporary relief from serotonin receptor activation. After extended use receptors down regulate making your receptors even less sensitive to activation. This explains why your symptom relief doesn't last.

Try to take micro dose SSRI another day or few times week, not everyday. Maybe you can get a stable and optimal window

I've microdosed fluoxetine at 2mg and it helps a bit somehow.

Try cyproheptadine. Perhaps your PSSD is due to chronically elevated serotonin. We know that SSRIs make serotonin initially fall and then increase, perhaps this explains these windows.
PSSD by a combination of Risperidon and Fluoxetin

Tests: damiana, gingko biloba, cabergolin, pramipexol, buspiron, SJW
Significant improvement only with SJW
