They want to hear worldwide stories, not only about withdrawal, but any serious harm. Please DO NOT MISS THIS IMPORTANT POSSIBILITY TO RAISE AWARENESS ON PSSD! You can do it even anonymously. SCOTTISH PARLIAMENTARY PRESCRIBED DRUG DEPENDENCE AND WITHDRAWAL PETITION !

UPDATE:

The petition was heard in the Scottish parliament yesterday (Thursday). The petition comittee are inviting members of the public (world-wide) to continue submitting evidence about dependence on and withdrawal from psychiatric medication. The committee will reconvene to discuss matters further which were raised in the meeting.

We need more submissions to highlight this huge world-wide problem with psychiatric drug dependence and withdrawal.

Did your Dr warn you about the withdrawal effects?
Have pharmaceutical drugs harmed you?
Have you had to give up work?

-Submissions should be sent to: petitions@parliament.scot -State reference PE01651 in the subject line.
-Not to exceed 3 A4 pages.
-State if you wish to remain anonymous.

It can be anything from like 10 rows to 3 pages, so I hope everyone who see this post can do it today! The petitioners are working very hard on call for an action against the current way of prescribing psychiatric drugs (like lack of informed consent). We can't miss occasions like this. Btw mine is II 2nd Jan.

I think email should be fine as well. I sent it in word format but they converted to pdf.

Popike27, I don't think it is needed we have many cases here.

When do you think it will be added to the list of accounts? Will they read some of these out in Scottish Parliament again?

There will be a continuation of the petition topic but I still don't know when. You will receive first a confirmation email probably on Monday and in about a week or two (I think depends on how many submissions are) it will be uploaded.

wanted to talk about this. I read sufferers complaining and complaining and complaining... them, something like this appear, a chance to be heard, and what they do? They freaking HIDE because they are feaking ASHAMED!!!!! WTF, we are talking about your life, your happiness, and you run away from an oportunity like this because you are freaking ashamed? And this is for the lurkers too...

Yes, we definitely NEED to use this as every other occasions where we can be heard. For anyone ashamed: YOU CAN SUBMIT ANONYMOUSLY just indicate it in your email. You don't need to reveal details from where you would be recognized.
