And yes...cured that as well, orgasms normalized after 2 weeks....full responsivity in an optimal direction took about 3..maybe a little more.

That's so incredible. What about overall libido, did looking at and thinking about women become a great experience again? Would you truly say you feel back to pre-SSRI state of sexual arousal (pre-cum, semi-hard, libido, etc.) and function (erections, performance, stamina, etc.)?

Lastly, did is also revert the emotional anesthesia/anhedonia 100%, too, and how long did that take?

Here's the product Area took, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong): http://www.icariinhealth.com/products/b ... -goat-weed

As for Berberine, is there a special extract needed or would something like this do? http://www.amazon.com/Berberine-400-Cap ... =berberine

Again, thanks so much man, for the first time since I've been afflicted with these issues, I feel that there might be hope.

Yes and it had an effect on the apathy / anhedonia as well, since both berb and icariin raise dopamine and Icariin enhances central N.O which helps improve dopamine neuron function. Also consider L-Histidine and a high protein diet, but l histidine on an empty stomach. Histidine is cheap and it can help as well because histamine helps to depress excess serotonin firing. Histamine also plays a role in testosterone and thyroid hormone production..

Anhedonia improved after about 2 and half to maybe three weeks for a significant improvement.

and yes, those are the correct products.

Yeah, I'm happy I lured him with opening this thread. Smile

That all sounds more and more interesting. Did you take any other medications/supplements while you were on this stuff? And what about caffeine?
I'm seeming to get a bit better after weeks without caffeine. Watchting movies/series becomes less dull and computer gaming is a bit more exciting again. Sometimes I was even able to read some novels... Caffeine seems to fuck with morning wood too. It was far from perfect, but at least some progress seems to start when I'm weeks of caffeine. Maybe an other hint for some sort of cortisol shit?

But I haven't managed to get past the 6 weeks mark without caffeine yet. It's really not that easy. Especially if you have some fatigue shit going on... I'm considering to try quitting caffeine again.

Too much adrenalin is not good either. I'm remembering a good morning wood streak for 1-2 weeks, who was stopped 100 % after just 1 pill bupropion.

It's true., caffeine can weaken erections for some people, especially if you have cortisol issues. Though personally I only notice a decrease in E.Q when using over 400 mg of caffeine. But I have my cortisol levels under control....around 200 mg of caffeine actually gives me a nice sense of focus with no decrease in libido...in fact, at that dose my E.Q increases.
You might be wearing out your adrenals after chronic caffeine use, also GABA-A upregulates after chronic caffeine use which contributes to the tolerance some get, therefore using either ginkgo or kudzu can help eliminate caffeine tolerance and allow you to use less caffeine to get the same effect.

HOWEVER, if your hormones and adrenals are fucked up, I recommend lowering the dose of caffeine without eliminating it completely, and consider adding whole foods and a liver detox regimen.

1. Chronic ingestion of caffeine by male NIH strain mice alters the density of a variety of central receptors.

2. The density of cortical A1 adenosine receptors is increased by 20%, while the density of striatal A2A adenosine receptors is unaltered.

3. The densities of cortical β1 and cerebellar β2 adrenergic receptors are reduced by ca. 25%, while the densities of cortical α1 and α2 adrenergic receptors are not significantly altered. Densities of striatal D1 and D2 dopaminergic receptors are unaltered. The densities of cortical 5 HT1 and 5 HT2 serotonergic receptors are increased by 26–30%. Densities of cortical muscarinic and nicotinic receptors are increased by 40–50%. The density of cortical benzodiazepine-binding sites associated with GABAA receptors is increased by 65%, and the affinity appears slightly decreased. The density of cortical MK-801 sites associated with NMDA-glutaminergic receptors appear unaltered.

4. The density of cortical nitrendipine-binding sites associated with calcium channels is increased by 18%.

5. The results indicate that chronic ingestion of caffeine equivalent to about 100 mg/kg/day in mice causes a wide range of biochemical alterations in the central nervous system.

Edit: Yesterday no caffeine, it was a bad day. Today with caffeine again, it is a bit better. So I just don't know about caffeine.

Maybe it was always just the normal swinging of symptoms I have experienced while quitting caffeine. Sometimes even after weeks of quitting it got not much better...

Maybe it won't do much difference in the long run. So I just keep drinking !

For me, anxiety gets worse without caffeine, caffeine is one contributor in a healthy balance for me.
I prefer ECA & YCC stacks pre workout...and they eliminate any resting anhedonia I may have here and there.
Which makes me think, that anhedonia itself seems to primarily come from the low dopamine state associated primarily with Cyclic AMP being decreased.
Makes sense too, because anything that raises cAMP will raise dopamine production from tyrosine.
I'm going to make an article about this soon.
Stay tuned.

Never tried an ECA stack, but I read aspirin has effects on serotonin too.

The results show that acetaminophen alone increases brain serotonin as well as norepinephrine levels with a concomitant inhibition of liver TDO activity. In contrast, aspirin did not alter the levels of these monoamines but increased serotonin turnover in the brain while acetaminophen decreased the turnover. When combined with acetaminophen, aspirin overrides the reduced serotonin turnover induced by acetaminophe

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21327581

And then contrary

ASA significantly increased brain serotonin (5-HT) content and reduced the number of 5-HT2 receptors in cortical brain membranes 30 min after drug administration.

Interesting...probably has something to do with prostaglandin reductions or modulation induced by aspirin. It is an acetylated form after all.

How does Berberine and Icarin affects other drugs concentrations through CYP-enzymes. For example if You take oxcarbazepine, should You change the dosage?
