I apologize for my lack of responses during the previous month; I was helping my father with moving and renovating his new home. During that time I was rarely home myself.
I will try to address the remaining questions as soon as possible.

Do you recommend any dietary changes someone could make or any advice in general other than doing something more drastic such as the procedure you went through? Like could someone with PSSD start eating a certain way to see if that effects their symptoms and then go from there? or should they be tested first? How does one get started?
Hey chemistry, again, sorry for my very late reply and thank you for your very good question; During the two to three years prior to my course of FMTs I experimented quite a lot with different diets. For example I tried different elimination diets where I avoided eating dairy or wheat etc. Further I tried vegetarian, vegan and plant based diets. I also tried different eating schedules like eating only during a 12 hour window or the fasting mimicking diet; None of this diets had any serious impact on my PSSD. The only case worth mentioning is when I went on a high fiber diet where I consumed about 60g of various types of fiber a day through my food; During that three month I sometimes experienced heightened libido and sexual arousal. Unfortunately it never lasted for longer than a day. This was also the most arduous of all diets that I tried. All in all one of these diets had a lasting effect on PSSD for me.
Nevertheless, I want to encourage everyone that is interested into trying a healthier eating regime first, for several reasons:
First, it is now scientifically believed that the diet has a significant impact on a persons microbiome (,although I am a little cautious about it and believe that its effect is to some degree overrated, but still important). This is an example where a radical diet regime reverses typ 2 diabetes:

Secondly, as you have pointed out, it is a much "softer" ore pleasant way to address ones microbiome. In case one is, very justifiably, sceptical about FMT then dealing with ones diet is certainly a good initial alternative.
And thirdly, as I have mentioned earlier, everyones personal micobiome is quite unique in composition and therefore differs significantly from other peoples microbiome; That provides an explanation for why people can respond so differently to the same kind of remedy or medication. On that bases I believe that for some people simply eating healthier might elevate their PSSD.
If anyone prefers trying out a diet first, then I would recommend a plant based diet that provides a variety of different sources of fiber as a first try.
I hope this has helped you.
Willwk wrote:Hello, I have been accompanying the forum for a while and I suspected that bacteria could be causing this in 2016 when I had to undergo surgery and I took antibiotics within days. I felt a libido and a strong mttle, something uncontrollable, to the point of needing to masturbate even if I had stopped. take the antibiotics and the pssd came back, now in 2018 I did a new surgery I took antibiotics and it was the same effect the first time my libido came back by but weak and now that I seem to take the pssd back again, I have several bowel problems diarrhea and sometimes constipation I have already been weeks without being able to go to the bathroom is not a crazy theory on the contrary since recent studies are indicating that bacteria can be involved in the diseases of both parqinson's disease and autism. I would like to know how many times a month you did the transplant and how many months it lasted and when you started to feel the results thank you.
Thank you for your post; You point something out that I have encountered several times during my online searches; There are several accounts by people describing a heightened, sometimes obsessive libido during a course of antibiotics. It is an admittedly unexpected outcome, but it does support the idea of a connection between sexual functions and the microbiome.
To your question, I do not remember how many times I took a transplant, but I did it several times over roughly three months, but I always took small amounts. Shortly after every treatment I experienced a short improvement in libido, but a lasting effect I achieve after roughly two months. It is possible, thought, that for some people a single full FMT might be just enough; It is reasonable to assume that the rate of response strongly depends on the donors and the recipients microbiome.
anacleta wrote:Did you tell to Dr. Healy your theory and your direct experience?
I do not know who that is.
anacleta wrote:sorry, maybe I did not read the whole topic carefully, I do not speak English. Have you been followed by a doctor in particular for these fecal transplants and what kind? why this doctor does not publish a study or at least an article about your case?
I did not consult a doctor and organized everything on my own.

Thank you, I appreciate your support; I am more interested in this topic, though, than in prizes.

Melcangi study on rats post finasteride

Some takeaways:
- Gut microbiota composition is affected by finasteride withdrawal
- The levels of TNF-α at the end of the treatment with finasteride are largely increased.
- A significant increase of the gene expression of this cytokine was observed after withdrawal.

Another line of evidence pointing towards the gut microbiome being a problem. I think this is an area worth exploring. It would be interesting to see people experiment with gut influencing protocols. I will make another thread on it.
Both anacleta and north4, thank your for these posts; I like how this thread takes on a constructive dynamic, It helps when people contribute to a discussion.
