PSSD Prognosis
PSSD Prognosis
This thread is for posting about odds of recovery. I am tempted to deleted such threads because they all spiral into negativity, but have decided to let it continue for now.
I am remaking/hijacking this thread because I've seen it many times before and want it to be made once and not made again. This will be the last thread of this nature. All further will be deleted.
Please first refer to:
FAQ: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/faq/
Diagnostics: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/diagnostics/
What's been tried: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/what-weve-tried/
Success Stories: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/success-stories/
At this time neither the PSSD Forum nor myself do not have an official stance on the chances of recovery, nor what might help aid it. I feel strongly, however, that treating mental illness must be a primary focus. PSSD with mental illness is very hard to differentiate from other disorders, and will likely not be accepted by the medical community regardless if you think this is fair or not.

Re: Do most people recover
zadig777 wrote:most people don't recover
i think around 70-80% dont recover
10-15% recover partially
1-5% recover fully
we speak about pssd, and this is my personal estimate
This is based on what data?
Re: Do most people recover
No data.
Having said that i think many improve (somewhat) over time, but only few recover fully on short term.
Most recoveries here are by people that tried things (medication, supplements etc.) Having a healthy lifestyle and attitude helps in general, and shouldnt be underestimated.

Re: Do most people recover
Sorry didn’t mean that in an asshole type of way. I was just wondering. I do think I have mild pssd. I’m confident I’ll recover. Only been a monthzadig777 wrote:if u read my post again u will find the answer to ur question...Snbshocker711 wrote:zadig777 wrote:most people don't recover

What kind of doctor does these tests?iii1i1i1 wrote:Hi
Test for parasites is very cheap.
There are examples of cured people or people who will be probably cured in the future by in my opinion curing some pathogens:
1) By helicobacter pylori curing. ( http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2137) https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/2018/07/2 ... infection/
2) By helicobacter pylori curing probably. She didn't write anything more on the forum. ( http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... 1586#p1586 )
3) By histolityca curing. About 90% cured after 3 days of antibiotic. ( https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/gi-tract-infection/)
4) By histolityca curing probably in the future I think. ( http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2254)
5) By cleaning body of some bacteria and other pathogens with Pramipexole, probably. ( http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1816 )
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs ... 2/aoc.3737:
"This work reports the preparation of multiwalled carbon nanotube/pramipexole/Ag (CNT/pra/Ag) as a novel antibacterial agent, in which pramipexole groups are utilized as linkers to secure Ag nanoparticles to carbon nanotube surfaces without agglomeration. The resulting CNT/pra/Ag sample was characterized by performing transmission and scanning electron microscopy, wavelength‐ and energy‐dispersive X‐ray, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, inductively coupled plasma and Raman measurements. Using this approach, monodisperse spherical Ag nanoparticles in CNT/pra/Ag have narrow size distributions with average diameters of ca 3–8 nm. The antibacterial activity of CNT/pra/Ag was investigated against bacterial species Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin‐resistant S. aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli using the paper‐disc diffusion method and by determining the minimal inhibitory concentration. CNT/pra/Ag showed better inhibitory activity towards Gram‐positive bacteria than Gram‐negative bacteria in this study, which indicates its potential as an antibacterial material for laboratory and medical purposes."

“Antimicrobial” refers to a chemical substance that kills or inhibits the growth of microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, yeasts, protozoans and/or destroys viruses."
6) By intestinal transplant. (Ghost (user) talked about this case)
7) By curing pathogenic fungi - Candida and Aspergillus. ( https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/gi-tract-infection/)
8) By curing pathogenic fungi. ( https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/nystatin/)
9) By cleaning body of some bacteria and other pathogens probably - Bunny (user), she took a lot of supplements like MSM. ( http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2262 )
10) By pathogens curing with licorite root. ( http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20101203/msgs/972934.html)
11) By pathogens curing probably with MSM and Burbur. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx_NNe6xMkk&t=690s )
12) By reducing serotonin in pathogens by Mianserin probably. Medicines also often have the ability to destroy various pathogens. (https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/louis-syfer-mianserin/ http://www.jpma.org.pk/images/Mar1991/G ... 0Table.jpg)
13) By Dientamoeba fragilis curing probably in the future I think (http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php? ... 4&start=20)
14) By curing parasite probably. http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2440
Re: Do most people recover
Find a good endocrinologist and ask a full hormonal panel with all estrogen included (even if you are a male) PSSD is a neurondocrines issues like PFS and PAS and lots of early indication are towards a possible common etiology ..so no pathogens bullshit here sorry

And of course iii1i1i1 i don't have anything against you personally but.. Why don't you try to cure yourself first?

Re: Do most people recover
Im going to keep my opinion to myself on this subject.... form your own. But to answer your question; any Dr could order the test. Its a very general and routine lab. Depending on your country you probably don't even need a Dr to order it.Snbshocker711 wrote:What kind of doctor does these tests?iii1i1i1 wrote:Hi
