I imagine any psychotropic medication could give you a crash, there is always a risk. PSSD sufferers seem to be much more sensitive to withdrawal, even dose reduction. So, if you want to come off of dopa mucuna, do a slow taper. I would do something like reduce by 12.5mg every 2 weeks, although that is VERY cautious. definitely do not stop abruptly.
You mean 12.5 mg or 125 mg ? I take 750 mg /day, so a reduction of 12.5 mg every 2 weeks would be very very long.
Have you already tried to associate mucuna with yohimbe or another product ?
12.5 is indeed a snail's pace, you could reasonably go faster than that. I am over-the-top cautious about dose reduction due to some bad experiences in the past. I take yohimbine with dopa, I feel like they act pretty independently. Theres is another thread talking about buspar + melatonin, which as worked nicely for me.

I started a buspirone treatement a few months ago so this thread interrests me. Could you give me the link for it please ? I cannot find it with the search function.

I'm currently on buspirone, 20 mg. No side effects if I increase it very slowly step by step. No improvement in sexual function so far. I don't feel any improvement with my anxiety, so the dose is maybe still too low.

If buspirone doesn't work with me i'll have to find another thing to improve my erection. Mucuna did well on me but it seems the improvement fades away after a few weeks.

I am thinking of trying bupropion, but I have some question about it : can it really improve erection ? I read studies saying it can improve only arousal and orgasm, and i found few men on internet reporting a better erection with bupropion.
Have some men of this forum already had their erections improved by bupropion ?

I have a mild PSSD, I have no arousal/ejaculatory problem, but i've had ED for a few years.

Buspirone is pre-synaptic in lower doses and post-synaptic like Flibanserin in higher doses...I think that gives you a clue.
I reduced from 60 to 30 mg/day and most of its benefits have "faded away", but they were much more intense than I had prior Sertraline. You can still hunt for a dose that works for you.
If you have no arousal/ejaculatory problem, just an ED issue, if it comes from GAD, buspirone might help, and yes, anxiety disorders are associated with ED, and it was even a criterion for GAD diagnosis in the past.

But if it's not. There are other options like Viagra/Cialis/L-Citruline.

That's really interesting, arahant.

Too bad Buspirone was discontinued in my country eight years ago.

Yes, it is my plan to reach at least 30 mg. At witch dose did you start to have benefits ?

Before those last years, I had never had any erection problem, even in the periods I had big anxiety or big depresssion, so I think it doesn't come from anxiety.
ED started when I abruptely lowered citalopram.

I take viagra/cialis but it doesn't work so well.
I'll give another try to citruline and arginine.
