1- What is your gender?

Male, 38

2- Why did you take antidepressants in the first place? and for how long were you on them? which med?
Chronic insomnia, mild anxiety
I took Brintellix for 3 months and Mianserin 4 months.

3- How was your sexual and emotional function before antidepressant intake?

Very good, hard erections, I enjoyed sex a lot

4- What are your symptoms exactly and when did they start? sexual dyfunction alone, or cognitive/emotional/hedonistic as well? which symptom is bothering you the most?

Strong ED (no morning woods), genital numbness, reduced orgasms, no libido.

I had some symptoms while on Brintellix but was 90% back to normal after discontinuation. I continued taking Mianserin for 1 month. 2 weeks after quitting Mianserin (6 weeks after Brintellix discontinuation), the symptoms suddenly happened. It got worse in a few days, then some short windows with moderate improvements (few morning woods, orgasm pretty ok, but with a very weak erection). In the last 2 weeks, it worsened. Now ED is total, numbness is very high. Now 2 months with PSSD.

5- What meds/suppplements have you tried so far?
L-Citrulline, ginseng, zinc
Testogel
Cialis

6- Do you have access to meds without prescription (buy online), or would strictly require a prescription for meds to try?
Prescription

7- Can you tolerate galicky foods? what about proteins?

Yes


8- Have you done any blood testing? what were the results?

Pretty normal except for slightly high sugar, low testosterone (but in the normal range)

Anybody else got their PSSD weeks after discontinuation?

For many of us (half? I would say) symptoms appeared / increased after discontinuation. Typically one month afterwards.

Ok, I thought most had their symptoms shortly after discontinuation. I felt my case was strange because I had an almost total recovery one or two days after discontinuation. The new, severe symptoms (different from those that I had on the meds) appeared weeks after discontinuation.

My symptoms appeared only very few days after discontinuation of the medication. I did not have any symptoms while on the medication.

May I ask how you would describe the genital numbness? I'm having a hard time figuring out if thats the case for me as well, since its not really written anywhere how that feels.

In my case, there are 2 aspects: mechanical numbness and sexual numbness. The mechanical numbness means I feel almost nothing while touching it like when your mouth is anesthesized at the dentist. I could pinch my penis very strong without feeling any pain. This aspect has improved recently though.
Sexual numbness means I don't feel anything sexual, no matter how hard I try, it's the same as touching my arm or my leg. This aspect has recently worsened.
