Natural recovery thoughts?

Unread post by Breathdeep »

I have low libido and significantly bad ED, often needing Viagra and Cialis at the same time. I'm 6months into pssd from a month on prozac. I've been medication free for six months apart from taking half a bupropion tablet which number my dick so I didn't continue. The numbing went away on the following day or two.

I'm tempted to try pramipexole or cabergoline as amphetamine help me so I believe I have a dopamine issue. I also have blunted emotions. Im trying to keep calm and not dive into trying medication as I feel objectively it's too soon to risk as I still may recover naturally.

Over the last six month I've had varied symptoms . The first few months my libido was non existent. The next two I saw improvement and could even get semi hard without Viagra. I then saw some great windows with inositol, boron, other testosterone boosting suppliments. I have been thoroughly checked and my hormones are all ok. I used amphetamine once which took away my pssd for the day. I also used modafinil which helped. I'm since worried they might have crashed me a bit even though it might just be a normal wave .I have stopped modafinil even though I only used it a couple of times. I also only used amphetamine once and don't intend to again

My symptoms have only slightly improved over this six months and it just feels like how or why would my body just turn a corner and start healing properly. I keep thinking if I'm not healing now why will it suddenly happen. Another part of me feels like the body is complex and interconnected and the stars may all align in the future.

My question is have people noticed their recovery sped up at any point or turned a corner? I've read a few things on surviving antidepressants of instances like this.
If you recovered naturally how long did it take?

Finally, if your ED recovered was this because your libido returned and was this accompanied by getting general emotions back?

I believe cabergoline caused permanent tinnitus for me. Luckily it’s a mild case. It didn’t noticeably affect me otherwise. Other DAs might be helpful, I don’t know.

Early in my pssd onset I had really bad ED. Ginkgo Biloba helped a lot with that but other symptoms were unchanged.

Sorry, just seeing this. My ED improved greatly within the first 6 months, mostly due to Ginkgo Biloba. Since then, it's about the same, not a major issue. Other symptoms have not improved (anhedonia, lack of genital sensation, etc.).
