What if one is but a crazy hysteric? what would be the method of reversing things back then?

It might be for an individual case, but not for the entire pssd group.
Go seek therapy if you feel it might benefit you

Maybe it makes sense. It has been noted since Freud's era that some "numbness" claims were tightly related to unfulfilled sexual desires.
There was no pill to blame 24/7. You might benefit from therapy if you think that's the case.

I wonder why its hard to imagine that drugs that are literally used for chemical castration might cause persistent issues for some.

PSSD is not a psychological problem, it's an injury caused by a drug. Usually antidepressants or other psychiatric drugs. If you have psychological problems you can go to a psychologist. Or there are various mental health forums which may be helpful in that case.

This 100000%. I didn't;t even know about PSSD when I got it. Not psychological here. Not even 1%.
