Sizeable Improvement

Unread post by MisterCharlie »

So I haven't posted much on here. Particularly about my own story. I developed Pssd like symptoms from a Septra, a sulpha antibiotic while being treated for lyme disease. Instead of it being difficult to feel just my genitals , it was difficult feeling "the entire outside of my body" (never completely numb), low energy, high anxiety, low libido. It got about 20% better on its own over 2 years. I thought that it might be an autoimmune reaction where my body attacked my brain/spinal cord/myelin sheath. So I went about trying to heal that damage. Looking into repairing spinal cord damage, neurogenesis, remyelination

I tried and still would recommend:
-hyperbaric oxygen
-running, if possible
-fasting, if possible
-uridine, myo-inositol, methyl b12, methyl folate,
-9 mbc (one pill a day is like a cup of coffee, two pills a day is like a freight train, do not take 3 a day, take breaks)
-NSI-189
-Forskolin to boost cyclic AMP
-melatonin 1x a week for healing, antioxidiant, hormones
-high dose biotin
-chelation to clean out your brain/receptors/body of heavy metals- EDTA chelation, DMSA chelation, low dose 100mg or less Alpha Lipoic Acid
-Treatment for lyme disease, which I think almost everyone has now. Cutting edge treatment is liposomal antabuse (off label use), take 100 mg alpha lipoic acid the next day to prevent detox neuropathy, and add in some basic antibiotics, doxycycline or zithromax. Avoid Sulpha drugs at all costs, and Levaquin (destroys joints). Lyme disease infects the brain
and I think lyme disease creates a "brain fragility", where it is prone to PTSD, migraines, low dopamine, high serotonin, low hormones
- 4 grams vitamin C a day
- getting away from Mold and seeking treatment for it. Binders like activated charcoal, welchol, cholestyramine

So you follow that and you get yourself some solid brain improvement. Maybe not much PSSD improvement, but you will feel better, heal better.

So a year ago, my brother told me he came down with Pssd a few years before that and I went into maniac research mode because I care about my brother and I rated my penis sensation about 30% of normal, energy and pleasure for life about 35% of what I used to have, libido about 15% of what I used to have, and ED bad enough where I had 0 confidence I could stay hard long enough to have sex. I seemed to have the symptoms of PSSD. Sexual stuff was the worst, no morning wood, no non contact erections ever, as soon as I stopped touching it, it stopped being hard. Viagra gave me terrible, horrible headaches, herbal libido boosters did nothing, too afraid to try Cialis since I read its like Viagra over several days.

I did alot of research on almost everything I could find on PSSD, Dopamine and Serotonin and medications that influence them. I came across Seroquel's (Quetiapine) ability to block dopamine receptors and that the dopamine receptors respond by their auto receptors upregulating. Seroquel also blocks other different receptors in the brain. Mostly adrenergic receptors. Look at pharmacology section here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetiapine. Its also a 5HT1a agonist.

I got some, and tried half the smallest dose I found (so 50mg). And I was glad, these type of drugs are insanely powerful and I could feel my brain adjusting afterwards. I took one pill a month, along with a huge amount of antioxidants 4 hours before (concerned by Seroquel's potential ability to damage eyesight). And honestly my brain needed alot of time to adjust. My anxiety and depression and introversion decreased quickly over those first two months. And I did try cabergoline in between, which made me feel really dumb, only took it once, no noticeable difference. And I dont think Ive found an over powered antihistamine like cyproheptadine, but it calmed my allergies pretty well. I had read good reports from some people about the cabergoline and cyproheptadine helping PSSD.

The next two months, I took 100mg each month of Seroquel (still a low dose, its safer and I dont want the Tardive Dyskinesia side effect ever). More improvement. Couldnt tell how much genital, libido, improvement, maybe 5%. I'm predicting that dopamine will upregulate, correcting anhedonia and sexual dysfunction but that depends on the person's genetics, their receptor number, the receptor frequency, the location of the receptor. Not a predictable time period. I might continue on Seroquel for a couple more months.

I read about Ropinirole, sometimes it has the side effect of hyper sexuality. Thats a side effect I want! Its generally a Parkinson and restless leg drug. Dopamine 2 agonist. I picture agonists at low dosage levels "flexing" receptor pathways and reuptake inhibitors as dangerous af. I did low dose (.05mg) tablets (not extended release). Btw studies have shown Ropinirole and pramipexole create new brain cells, prami more than Ropinirole

4 days later after the first pill of Ropinirole, today. I woke up with partial morning wood and much increased libido and genital sensation (+20%?). Mostly "normal" orgasm. I hope it stays that way and I'm not using the "c" word just yet. Never had a "window" and I cant rule it out.

Ill keep you guys updated.

PS If you guys/women have the means, please donate to my paypal, using email charlesbeutt@gmail.com to find me. I wouldn't ask if I wasnt actually worried about making rent. And you can use that email to message me, if I dont see your message on here.

My doc thinks I have lyme disease, I'm not sure what to think about that, I don't get herxheimer reactions

What happens when you take azithromycin etc, how do you react?

With lyme, there is no standard reaction, some people take one antibiotic and no herxheimer, some people take the same antibiotic and herx like crazy. People with chronic lyme disease have antibiotic resistant lyme which is why antabuse is so valuable. It targets manganese inside of lyme, which the researchers theorize it cant become resistant to. There are coinfections like bartonella, babesia, ehrlichia, rocky mountain spotted fever that should be tested and accounted for.

edit: Before taking any antibiotic, I would look up the potential side effects. I noticed feeling stronger on azithromycin and dont remember too many side effects, but it was years ago.
