No I don't take piracetam anymore. The effects are permanent. I don't know on the forskolin, a couple weeks maybe.

With each specific PSSD symptom does Piracetam helps with? Does it make ED better?

And is it easy to get your doctor to prescribe it?

Thanks!

wow, 20 years. that's amazing that you have been able to live with this for 20 years.

that's great that you have found things that help with the problem, and can treat it and relieve the symptoms reliably.

I'm just getting started, with learning this, and I want to test out things like caber, and buspar, and find something to relieve the bad symptoms.

thanks for this web, site. we all appreciate it, and need this site.
the other one I just joined, the yahoo ssri sex web site, seems kind of confusing to me actually compared to this one, and less scientific. the way it is designed /set up is random and confusing. this one is actually way better for serious research and discussion. I just noticed that by being over at that one. there's the paxil progress one also.

I have to say, I am in my fifth year of PSSD. And it's sad to say but if I am honest, I have made absolute no improvements... Shocked

It's unlikely that after 5 years of no improvements, there will be any in the next years without medication/herbs/supplements. I'm more and more willing to roll out the heavy artillery.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, that I will find a good psychiatrist who is able to think outside the box, will believe me and prescribe the right stuff. Don't get me wrong, natural healing is best, but there are guys who don't have that luck.

And like I said, life is to short to wait decades for natural improvement. In everybody life there's a point where you can't wait any longer for natural healing. You have to take some stronger stuff. Time for going the Sonny-Way. Wink

Although he's taking lots of stuff, maybe he's the one of us, who is keeping his PSSD at bay the most.

The "Sonny-way", lol I like it. Yea the natural stuff generally doesn't work. The exceptions tend to be things that are more of a drug than a supplement, but are just sold as supplements. The proper medication makes a huge difference for me. It's made an unbearable situation not so bad to deal with.

I will post here the same thing I sent you in a PM with some added info.

When I first got PSSD I went about 6 months without so much as a single erection, and feeling completely asexual. Then I tried acupuncture, along with a "male enhancement supplement". I specifically told my acupuncturist about my problem. After my first session I felt a slight sensation in my genitals, along with a renewed sense of calm. After about 5 sessions, I was suddenly completely cured (this would turn out to be temporary). I was also exercising regularly at the time, extreme cardio once a week. Suddenly I was hornier that I'd been since I was young. These effects diminished over time, and eventually returned to baseline if I did not regularly see the acupuncturist.

After 3 years of living with this condition, the best things I have found are a combination of piracetam (not every day, I only took two bottles but it seemed to help), regular acupuncture appointments (aimed specifically for libido, you can find those points online but the acupuncturist should know them), frequent exercise (weights and cardio), male enhancement supplements (natural herbal viagra taken every day and again before sex, without stimulant ingredients), and nutritional supplements (l-tyrosine and l-arginine specifically. in combination the two are supposed to stimulate human growth hormone production, and l-tyrosine is useful for male fertility and blood flow). Unfortunately these options are expensive.

Before I started taking buspar last month to deal with the anxiety of things ending poorly with a girl, I was having some morning erections. I also started participating in NoFap (not masturbating or viewing pornography). I did this for about two months, and was seeing an acupuncturist once every couple of weeks. Things were nowhere near what they were before, but I had the ability to enjoy sex, get occasional non-contact erections, and actually began having nocturnal emissions. One thing that helped hugely was just having a girl to talk about sex with. I found that if I'd get a text from her, I would actually get an erection just like I might have before i went on anything. Again, not as good as they were before, but I did.

Honestly the best things I personally have found are all somewhat "natural". Wellbutrin and buspar both help the problem, but I can't deal with the side effects because of the nature of my affliction. Buspar is the drug that helped the absolute most, but for me it is unpredictable (it actually made me too horny before it really started messing with my head). My baseline since stopping buspar is lower than it was before, but I am hoping it will return to normal soon.

Take what you will from this. Not all of our cases are the same, since we took different chemicals and everyone's brains may respond a little differently.

edit: to answer your question directly, things did not improve on their own for me. over time, while exercising and doing a variety of different things, i was able to improve my baseline. it would seem that by simply doing nothing, your chances of improvement are random. some people get better with time, others do not.

For me, if anything, it's gotten worse. It's been about 6 years now.

To be fair, that's one of the reasons that I can't help wonder if something else is going on in my case though.
