Do windows mean you will eventually recover?
If you have a few windows of semi-normal sexual functioning (60-70%), and a heightened emotional range during those windows, does this mean that the windows will become your permanent state after a while? Or are there people who have “windows and waves” for 10+ years?
Re: Do windows mean you will eventually recover?
Who knows. I remember a post of Sonny's I saw where he posited that windows come and go indefinitely (he's had PSSD over 20 years). Still, having them is a good thing in itself. I haven't had any windows that weren't brought about by taking a new vitamin/medication etc.
21, male, extreme pssd for four years
Tried inositol (slight improvements) cialis (very limited improvements) yohimbine (slight improvements) maca root (no effect) bacopa monieri (no effect) estradiol-17b (pronounced improvement in all areas of sexuality)

I have definitely had windows (the longest was a week), but they haven't lasted. Other recovery stories involve windows that got longer and longer for people until finally that was their new baseline.

I think windows do mean that eventual recovery is possible.
Clearly the body is capable of normal function, but something is interfering with it. It's just a matter of finding what it is that is interfering.
But that means trying new things, exercise, etc. - I strongly believe that mere time is not enough.

Re: Do windows mean you will eventually recover?
As a woman I think windows are strongly connected to hormones and feminine cycle. I am in a window now. It started yesterday with an anxiety crisis. I hadn't anxiety since months. I was usually a bit blunted and too calm for my real standard " me". But I notice that anxiety make me feel also active and dreamy and I can have more fantasy and excitment. The symptoms that are not better now are breast and clitoris arousal without stimulation. Also erection of clitoris and labia majora is not very good. But I see some light beyond the tunnel...

I am evidence that windows really do happen and improvements can stick and for longer periods of time. Each time I get a window I get a new aspect or feeling of how my function used to be. Each week or weeks of improvement are usually ended with brain zaps.

Re: Do windows mean you will eventually recover?
This morning I started to doubt it is a window because I have a cold. I haven't flue but perphaps the improvement of symptoms could depend on the cold as I read it here in the forum...Let's monitarate the phenomenon!

Windows?
Whenever I have better periods, after a few days I return to a serious pssd level, how is this possible? Why?
Re: Do windows mean you will eventually recover?
To mine period of improvement is becoming more stable but that intensity of Libido is stuck to certain limit.I am frustrated of that.
